Adobo chicken crockpot easy meals recipes slow cooker

Pulled meat is easy, delicious and versatile. Use it to prepare tacos, pizza, sandwiches, pasta and hors d'oeuvres. Freeze the leftovers in freezer bags for more easy and delicious meals!

Make it fast and easy in the slow cooker, or use the oven to make your Adobo sauce go farther (less liquid required).

Ingredients:

Mexican Adobo (Mild or Hot- your choice!)

Beef blade, brisket, or pork shoulder (5-8 lbs, see below)

Instructions:

Slow Cooker Method

  1. Put 5lbs of meat and a 500 ml jar of Adobo sauce into a slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on low according to the manufacturer’s instructions until the meat is tender, about 8 hours.
  3. Remove the meat from sauce. Skim the fat with a spoon, shred the meat, and return it to the sauce.

Oven Method

  1. Preheat oven to 300 F.
  2. Put 7-8 lbs of meat (with fat trimmed) and a 500 ml jar of Adobo sauce in a large heavy-bottomed, oven-safe pot or Dutch oven.
  3. Cover the pot tightly with aluminum foil and place the lid on top.
  4. Cook until the meat is fork-tender, about 3 – 4 hours.
  5. Remove the meat from sauce. Skim the fat with a spoon, shred the meat, and return it to the sauce.
